Mountains served as a backdrop to the vineyards and fruit orchards. We drove 40.4 km on a paved road through Paihuano, Montegrande to Pisco Elqui. After Pisco Elqui, it was 14.6 km on a mountainous dirt road which ends in the tiny town of Alcohuaz.
